It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Eugene Pruitt of Mills River, North Carolina, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughter Karen Capps; his son-in-law Greg Capps; his granddaughters, Heather Banks (Trey) and Stephanie Brackett (Matthew); his close friend Ella Kay Pruitt; his brother Clyde Pruitt; and his wife Shirley Calloway Pruitt. He is also survived by 4 great-grandsons, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
