He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Treadway and Virginia Jones Treadway; his wife Virginia Guyona Shaw Treadway; and his brothers, Jerry, Dale and James Treadway.

He is survived by: his children, David Treadway (Kristy) of Purlear, Patricia Bledsoe of Millers Creek and Pamela Watson (Timmy) of Deep Gap; and his siblings, Robert Treadway (Geneva) of Creston, Ralph Treadway of West Jefferson, Terry Treadway of West Jefferson, Barbara Sheets of Mocksville, Brenda Gordon of Yadkinville and Ruth Hall (David) of Boone. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
