He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathie Triplette and Vera Triplette; and his siblings, Nell Blankenship, Coleen Triplette, Martha Marley, A. D. Triplette, Elmer Triplette, Van Triplette, Carl Triplette "Buster", Joel Triplette, Walter Gene Triplette and Lloyd Triplette.
He is survived by: his wife Reba Hamby Triplette; his children, Joan Church (Terry) of Wilkesboro, Phyllis Pegram (Roy) of Statesville, Pam Stanley (Ralph) of Lewisville, Cynthia Staley (Mike) of Millers Creek, Donna Eads (Larry) of Wilkesboro, Harold Triplette (Donna) of North Wilkesboro and Daryl Triplette (Crissy) of Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Joel Church, Jacob Church, Wesley Triplette, Lincoln Triplette, Brandon Pegram, Derek Pegram, Dustin Stanley, Daniel Stanley, Devin Staley, Lauren Staley, Emily Reynolds, Sallie Reynolds, Grey Triplette and Rett Triplette; and his brother Boyd Triplette of Lenoir. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
