She was predeceased by: her parents, James Conard and Martha Jane Shephard Cockerham; her husband Thurman Franklin Bowlin; her daughter Ola Mae Johnson; her great grandchildren, Jessica Johnson and Noah Johnson; and her siblings, Sally Cockerham, Della Cockerham, George and Garfield Cockerham.
She is survived by: her children, Lorena Sebastian (Paul Melvin) of Millers Creek and Albert Bowlin (Frances) of Wilkesboro; her grandchildren, Tina Minton (Norman Bridges) of Hays, Sherry Sebastian-Miller (Billy) of Millers Creek, Kevin Bowlin (Julie) of North Wilkesboro and Scott Johnson of Mulberry; and her great grandchildren, Justin Combs of Aurora, Justin Miller of Millers Creek, Kaylee Anna Bowlin of North Wilkesboro and Ashley Rhodes of Millers Creek. She is also survived by five great great grandchildren.
