We are sad to announce that on August 18, 2020, at the age of 75, Rex Shumate of Millers Creek, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Shumate and Sina Reeves Shumate; and his brothers, Plato and Otis Shumate. He is survived by: his wife Annie Church Shumate; his daughter Angela Jarvis of Millers Creek; his granddaughter Lauren Jarvis; and his siblings, Betty Handy (Junior) of North Wilkesboro, Bill Shumate (Georgia) of North Wilkesboro and R. V. Shumate (Faye) of North Wilkesboro.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the family for medical expenses.
