It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maggie Shepherd Shore of Millers Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on April 16, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter C. Shepherd and Rosie M. Phillips Shepherd; her husbands, William E. Garrett and Fletcher Shore; her children, William Allen Garrett (Bill), Rev. Robert A. Garrett and Bobbie Jo Miller; and her grandson Charles Porter.
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Poole of Millers Creek, Kathleen Porter of Roaring River and Floyd Garrett of Millers Creek; her grandchildren, Lisa York, Stephanie Parker, Mary Jane Rogers, Kimberly Jackson, Robin Densmore, Kelley Alexander, Travis Garrett and Roger Garrett; and her sister Mary Shepherd Love of Millers Creek. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
