He is survived by: his mother Mary Woodie Severt of Millers Creek; his children, John Shane Severt of Millers Creek, Derek Jerome Severt of Millers Creek and Lina Lara Severt of Virginia Beach; his grandchildren, Sadie Mae Severt of North Wilkesboro and Tyler Steven Severt of Millers Creek; his great grandchild Kinsley Michelle Seagraves of North Wilkesboro; his siblings, James Elbert Severt (Patricia) of Millers Creek and Levonda Severt Roten (Dee) of Millers Creek; his niece Hannah Steele (Jason) of Harmony; his great-nephew Jaxon Steele of Harmony; and his great-niece Elara Steele of Harmony.
The family has requested no food and no flowers.
