It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gary Vannoy Sr. (Millers Creek, North Carolina), who passed away on March 15, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, R. Wrenn Vannoy and Ann Pardue Vannoy; his daughter Laura Vannoy; his wife Sheila Hamby Vannoy; his sons, Jay Vannoy (Beth) of Wilkesboro, Lance Mastin (Misty) of Millers Creek and Tyler Mastin (Kecia) of Millers Creek; his brother Mike Vannoy (Lauren) of Winston Salem; his nephew Mark Vannoy (Brandy) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Tate Vannoy of Wilkesboro, Alec Vannoy of Wilkesboro, McKenzie Mastin of Millers Creek, Aaliyah Mastin of Millers Creek, Jordan Mastin of Millers Creek, Trenton Mastin of Millers Creek and Lindsey Mastin of Millers Creek; and his grandfather Gee.
Due to the Governor's Executive Order related to COVID-19, a memorial service will not be held until Sunday June 7, 2020 at 2:00 p. m. at the Wilkes Community College, John A. Walker Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association and/or Minutes Matter-MCADD.
