He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Anderson Johnson; and his siblings, Coy, Alton, Clyde Johnson and JoAnn Johnson Prevette.
He is survived by: his parents, Paul Lester Johnson and Era Mae Oakley Johnson; his children, Rebecca Montoya (Jerry) of Wilkesboro and Barry Johnson of Marion, NC; his grandchild Brandon Montoya; his brothers, Joe Johnson (Wanda) of Statesville, Roy Johnson (Beth) of North Wilkesboro and James Johnson of Mocksville; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Johnson and Joan Johnson.
