He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elmore and Rosa Pearl Laws Lovette; and his siblings, Robert Wayne Lovette, James Franklin Lovette, William Clyde Lovette, Ransom Earl Lovette, Faye Lovette Lyall and Doris Lovette Church.

He is survived by: his wife Regina Gail Jarvis Lovette; his sons, Jeffrey Gwyn Lovette (April) of Millers Creek, Jerry Matthew Lovette of Millers Creek and Timothy Eugene Lovette of Traphill; his grandsons, Aaron Gwyn Lovette (Marina Catoe) of Millers Creek, Zander Alan Lovette of Millers Creek and William Timothy Lovette of Traphill; and his sisters, Betty Francis (Dean) of Mulberry and Virginia Deaver of Lumberton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
