He is survived by: his wife Joyce McGee Johnson; his daughter Lisa Johnson Wagoner (Stacey) of Purlear; his grandson Travis Dale; and his siblings, Betty Jane Burgess of Millers Creek, Carolyn Moore (R. L.) of Millers Creek and William Pinkney Johnson "Sonny". He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
