She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Linnie and Ivie Deane Bumgarner Royal; her spouse Thomas Gaither Kilby; and her sister Linda Royal. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Cera (Jeff) of Millers Creek, Jerry Sturgill (Lisa) of Millers Creek, David Sturgill (Tami) of Millers Creek and Toby Kilby (Suzanna) of Scottsdale, Arizona; her grandchildren, Kevin Sturgill of Mooresville, Amanda Sale of Charlotte, Matthew Cera of Millers Creek, Mason Kilby of Scottsdale, Arizona, Teddy Kilby of Scottsdale, Arizona and ChaChi Kilby of Scottsdale, Arizona; her brother Jack Royal (Nina) of Supply, NC; her nieces, Teresa McCray (Hunter) of Supply, NC and Tammy Royal of Supply, NC; and her pets, Daisy, Griffey, Lacy, Jack, Lucy and Amie.
The family has requested no flowers and no food. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 9, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659, to a local Animal Shelter of the donor's choice or find someone that needs a blessing and honor Janet's memory by making a difference to someone.
