He was predeceased by: his father Henry Clay Adams, Sr.; his son Steven Severt, Jr.; his grandson Cody Woodard; and his great grandchild Stephen Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Judy Stamper Adams; his mother Gladys "June" Cleary Adams of Wilkesboro; his daughter Michelle Severt (Brandon Hincher) of Wilkesboro; his daughter-in-law Wanda Sue Severt of North Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Shayna Severt (Brandi) of Yadkinville, Olivia Brooks (Brandon) of Wilkesboro, Cameron Williams (Morgan), Bradley Severt of Millers Creek, Samantha Severt of North Wilkesboro and Heather Love (Matt) of West Jefferson; his great grandchildren, Chandler Severt, Philip Brooks, Gage Rogers, Ryland Williams, Hunter Goble and Ryan Love; and his pet Popeye.
