Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Edgar Hamby of Millers Creek, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 82, on June 16, 2023. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Jones Hamby, Jr. and Brona Rae Staley Hamby; his wife Clara Sheets Roten Hamby; his brothers, Ronnie Hamby and Gary Hamby; and his stepgrandson Jermone Hudson.
He is survived by: his brothers, Kevin Hamby (Kathy) of Millers Creek and Steve Hamby (Geraldine) of Statesville; his sister-in-law Judy Hamby of Millers Creek; his stepdaughter Cindy Powell (David) of Knoxville, TN; and his stepgrandchildren, Jody Hudson and Justin Hudson. He is also survived by six step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
