It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Jeanette Pierce Welborn of Millers Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ernest Pierce, Sr. and Beatrice Forester Pierce; her husband Billy Johnson Welborn (Bill); her daughter Denise Jeanette Welborn; and her sister Kay Pierce Call.
She is survived by: her children, Jamie Caroline Welborn Taylor (Paul) of Hays and Mark Pierce Welborn; her grandchildren, Caroline Beatrice Taylor, Joseph Mark and Jonathan Matthew Taylor; her siblings, Becky Pierce Adams of North Wilkesboro and James Ernest Pierce, Jr. (Nancy) of Lewisville; and her brother-in-law Archie Edward Call (Eddie) of Millers Creek. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
