It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bob Ray Wilkes of Millers Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on December 5, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Wilkes and Robina Wooten Wilkes; his daughter Sarah Jean Wilkes; his grandson Micah James Wilkes; and his siblings, Melba Ann Osborn and Milton Wilkes.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Church Wilkes; his children, Susie Wilkes Lopez of Cricket, David Wilkes (Diane) of Atlanta, GA and Dr. James Wilkes (Shannon) of Creston, NC; his sisters, Norma Jean Schultz, Mona Branscomb (Lionel) and Jamie Wilkes (Judy); his grandchildren, Margaret Barry (Hudson), Galen Wilkes (Victoria), Sullivan Wilkes (Bethany), Israel Wilkes, Lillian Wilkes, Zion Wilkes, Oliver Wilkes, Vivian Wilkes, Austin Wilkes, Elizabeth Wilkes and Maria Lopez; and his great grandchildren, Elanor Wilkes, Jack Wilkes, Roxanna Barry and Ethan Barry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
