It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Bumgarner of Millers Creek, North Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. M. "Dock" and Vetra Parsons Joines; and her brother David Joines. She is survived by: her husband J. Zollie Bumgarner; her children, Nancy B. Watson of North Wilkesboro, Michael W. Bumgarner (Pattie) of Millers Creek, Hubert Bumgarner and Harold Bumgarner (Karen) of Millers Creek; her siblings, Louise J. Bumgarner (Burl) of Millers Creek, Marjorie J. Lankford (Bill) of Lincolnton, Robert Joines (Lorene) of Millers Creek and James Joines (Drucilla) of North Wilkesboro; her sisters-in-law, Linda J. Joines and Faye B. Johnson; her grandchildren, Cathy Huffman Huie (Mark) of Purlear, Chris Huffman of Millers Creek, Charlie Huffman (Tracy) of Wilkesboro, Cory Huffman (Brandi) of North Wilkesboro, Sarah Bumgarner Junker (Chris) of Pfafftown and David Bumgarner (Shannon) of Kingsport, TN; and her great grandchildren, Angela Huie, Gavin Huffman (Emily Sprinkle), Devin Huie, Kelsie Huffman, Chase Huffman, Karlie Huffman, Isaiah Huffman, Benjamin Junker, Natalya Huffman, Logan and Brayden Hall.
The family requests that everyone attending the service wear a mask and social distancing protocols will be in place.
