He was predeceased by: his father Richard Pilkenton; and his daughter Sherrie Hines. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Brown Pilkenton of Thomasville; his wife Maria McDonald Davis Pilkenton; his son Andrew Davis of Hickory; his siblings, Kathy Barker of Lexington, Rita Honda (Brian) of Archdale and Jeff Pilkenton of Julian; his sister-in-law Mary Warren of Granite Falls; his parents-in-law, Judi Tucker (Woodrow) of Granite Falls and Martin Lipe (Jackie) of Claremont; his uncle Bill Young (Connie); his grandson Christopher Hines; his nieces and nephews, Kim Vertefeuille (Brian), Scotty Dennis, Chris Louya (Natashya), Ryan Pilkenton (Amy), Blake Pilkenton (Franci) and Ayslee Pilkenton; his friend Corp; and also, Tokhanh Small, Carolyn Kearns and Gail Doby.
