She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gurnie and Clara Lee Walker Beshears; her husband Thomas Combs; her son Michael Combs; and her brothers, Robert and Anthony McNeill.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Combs Johnson of Millers Creek; her grandsons, Adam Thomas Johnson of Banner Elk and Daniel Shelton Johnson of Hickory; and her sister Lydia Huffman (Jerry) of Boone.
