She was predeceased by: her parents, Broadus Winston Whiteside and Beulah Leona Searcy Hicks; her stepfather Alonzo Hicks; and her siblings, Louise Searcy Huff and Joe Whiteside.
She is survived by: her children, Gene Turner, Ray Turner (Wilma), Ted Turner (Angie), Darlene Kay Lancaster Clark (Greg), Teresa Ann Lancaster Hendrix and James Howard Lancaster Jr. (Robin). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
