He was predeceased by: his parents, Hicks McAbee and Alcie O'Sullivan McAbee; and his siblings, Dennis McAbee, Craig McAbee, Richard McAbee, Ronald McAbee and Mary Ellen Shehan.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Priester (Tony) of Columbus and Keith McAbee (Robin) of Landrum; and his siblings, Bud McAbee of Mill Spring, Bobby McAbee (Judy) of Mill Spring, Rachel Wilson of Mill Spring and Libby Bailey of Albemarle. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
