He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, William S. McCall and May Cochran McCall of Lynn, NC.; his wife Martha Ann Garrett; and his son James Phillip McCall (Susan). He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Gorges (Dennis) of Brentwood, TN and Sandra White (Bruce) of Verbena, AL.; his grandson Andrew McCall (Brandi); his great grandchildren, Brandon (Kolby), Daniel, Elijah and Jazmine; and his great great grandchild Nail. He is also survived by sisters, half-brothers, nieces, nephews and cousins.
