He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carolyn Williams Thompson; his children, Duane James of Atlanta, Patricia Baggett of Tampa, Kimberly Monk (Jeremy) of Tampa, Lionel Thompson, Jr. (Chontrell) of Bladensburg and Emmanuel Thompson of New Port Ritchie, Florida; and his siblings, Patricia Williams, Samuel Chasten, Alfred Williams Allen (JoAnne), Gwendolyn DeGiffarde (Claudio), Jamezsetta Hardison (Paul), Jocelyn Cassidy (Derrell), Sharon Martin (Walter) and Eddie Linkhorn, Jr.. He was also cherished by ten Grandchildren; three Great-Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the Family request that donations be made to the American Heart Association in recognition of Lionel's "Life of Service and Dedication".
