She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Willie" Thomas Burris and Mary "Maw" Garmon Burris; and her siblings, Claude A. Burris "Booster", Donald R. Burris "Donnie", Clyde R. Burris, Carl E. Burris and Carolyn S. Jennings.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Kirks (Sybil) of Salisbury and Shelia Drake (Jay) of Concord; her grandchildren, Joshua Kirks, Jacob Philemon, Jonah Kirks and Madison Philemon; her great grandchild Chloe Kirks; and her brother Kenneth Ray Burris. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (471 Church St N, Concord, NC 28025).
