He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Columbus Barbee and Essie Mae Hinson Barbee. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sue Easley Barbee; his children, Jimmy Barbee (Donna) of Piedmont, NC and Sherry Williams of Kannapolis, NC; his sister Shirley Cline of Belmont, NC; his grandchildren, Bradley Williams, Kimberly Williams Heiman, Celeste Honea, Amanda Rivas and Kandace Lee; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Williams, Emma Williams, McKenzie Heiman, Ava Heiman, Grayson Honea, Emma Honea, Leleigh Honea, MacKenzie Lee and Michael Lee, Jr..
