He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Phillips and Maude Flowe Phillips; and his siblings, Ruth, Fred, Edmond, Mary Etta, Harry, Agnes, Frank, Everette and Ralph.
He is survived by: his friends, Bobby, Bud and Rayford; his wife Jo Ann Helms Phillips; his children, Lydia Phillips Buck (David) of Harrisburg and James "Jamey" Phillips, Jr. (Donna) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Buck (Jill), Isaac Buck (Gretchen), Rebekah Buck, Jake Phillips and Hunter Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Lily, Lylah and Ellis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
