William Peter Bryant Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Peter Bryant of Middlesex, North Carolina, who passed away on January 1, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
William was born in Brooklyn, New York, and lived his early years in Red Hook until his family moved to Roosevelt, LI, NY. William attended school in Roosevelt and played on the JV Basketball team at Roosevelt High School. He also loved music and played the bass guitar. He was very handy and was known for building the best rafts that he sailed on the lake with his dog Brownie, the treehouses high up in the trees of the neighboring woods, and refurbishing his custom van. William served his 4 years valiantly in the Vietnam War. Upon his return home from the war, he attended college and spent a lot of time with family and friends in Brooklyn and Philadelphia, PA. His mode of transportation was his beloved green chevy Impala nicknamed "The Green Hornet." William worked for many years as an officer for the New York Transit Sanitation department. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed his home in Middlesex, NC which was right next door to his sister and brother-in-law. William leaves to morn his son Cameron, his sisters Tana Bryant-Samuell, and Deirdra Bryant-Odom, brothers Lloyd Bryant and Darrin Bryant. Tyran Bryant (deceased), his brother-in-law Dwayne Samuell, sister-in-law Charlene Mackie-Bryant and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
