He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Edward Brantley and Ethelene Hinnant Brantley; his son Michael Shane Brantley; and his sister Diane Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Becky Nelson Brantley; his daughter Nicole Poelman (Isaac); his granddaughter Shaina Poelman; and his siblings, Phyllis O'Neal and Jerry Brantley (Regina). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
