He is survived by: his fiancée Ann Bridgers; his daughters, Cynthia Mayo, Sherry Watkins (Chris) and Cathy Odwyer (Curtis Grady); his grandchildren, Jennifer Mayo (Stephen), Jessica Griffin (Daniel), Nola Ventura, Carrie Joyce Watkins, Daniel Mayo, Walter Mayo, Troy Mayo, Jimmy Godwin, Jr. (Amber) and Christian Watkins (Chloe); his siblings, Lynn Wylie Gurkin, Rhonda Mosley (Rob) and Bobby Godwin (Paulette); and his stepbrothers, Ray Poole (Bobbie) and Tharon Poole. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
