She was predeceased by: her husband William Henry Lewis; her parents, Clellan Whitley, Sr. and Carrie Mae Whitley; and her brother Clellan Whitley, Jr.. She is survived by: her sister Joyce W. Peele; and her sister-in-law Whitley.

Due to covid-19 the family has requested a private funeral service.
