He is survived by: his wife Nancy Greenway Stainback; his children, Nancy Rose Stainback Lee (Martin) of Bullock, Ronald Ervin "Ronnie" Stainback, Jr. (Cheryl) of Middleburg and Rodney Gray Stainback (Kristy) of Middleburg; his grandchildren, Sallie Elizabeth Lee, Rebecca Lee Sizemore (Michael), Ronald E. "Trey" Stainback, III (Morgan), Cody Gray Stainback (Harper), Christopher Boyd Stainback (Lauryn), Ryan Hunter Stainback (Eleanor) and Caroline Michelle Stainback (Jesse); and his great grandchild Lawson Lee Sizemore.
