He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy Gumm and Ruby Gumm; his wife Phyllis Newton Gumm; his children, Robert Gumm of Mebane and Susan Gumm Sullivan; his son-in-law Sean Sullivan of Raleigh; his siblings, Harold Gumm of Saxapahaw and Rae Von Gumm Campbell; his siblings-in-law, Raleigh Campbell of Wirtz, Virginia, Helen Gumm and Brenda Sawyer; and his brothers, Tommy Gumm and Don Gum. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
