She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Eugene Saylor and Effie Turner Saylor; her daughter Donna P. Hodgin; and her brother Leonard Dale Saylor. She is survived by: her husband Harry E. Palmer; her sons, Russell A. Palmer (Debbie) of Yorktown and Jon W. Palmer (Cindy) of Winterville, NC; her grandchildren, Megan McBride (Dylan), Maddi Leeworthy (Cody), Bailee Keaton (Corey), Kile Hodgin and Julia Palmer; and her great grandchildren, William, Elora McBride, Callan, Dayton Leeworthy and Wesley Keaton.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory (207 E Elm St, Graham, NC 27253). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Rich & Thompson Chapel (207 E Elm St, Graham, NC 27253).
