She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Graves; her grandchildren, Antoine (Chasity), Cyntia (Tyrell) and Asia; her great grandchildren, Hayden, Kenleigh, Kendall, Legend, Julian, Julius, JaDiamond, Khmari, Khmyla and Khvarion; her adoptive daughter Etonya Davis; and her siblings, Daisy Laura Thompson of Mebane, NC, Bernice Yarborough (James), Betty Holman (Donald) of Mebane, NC, Rev. Jesse Alston (Janice) of Mebane, NC, Horace Alston (Fannie) and Clyde Alston of Mebane, NC.

After graduating, she served as a Charge Nurse in nursing homes, Alzheimer Care Centers, assisted living, and behavioral health.
