She was predeceased by: her parents, Tisha Holland Kale and Thomas Lawson Kale. She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Vincent Compton; her sons, Andrew Christopher Compton (Deborah Papworth) and Philip Kale Compton; her sisters, Teresa Kale, Tina Cates, Tracey Harrill and Taren Basnight; and her sister-in-law Patricia Compton. She is also survived by her two sons, a daughter-in law, a granddaughter, four younger sisters and a sister-in-law.
