She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cooper and Onie Crisp Cooper; her husband Vernon Frank Riley, Sr.; her son Jarrett Quinton Riley; her siblings, Onie Louise Cooper Richards, Daniel Corbett, Ruby Cooper and Patricia Miles; and her son-in-law Michael Kendrick.

She is survived by: her children, Vernon Riley Jr. (Mary), Johnny Clifton Riley (Kathleen), James Sanders Riley, Sherry Denise Kendrick and Christopher Donnell Riley; her sister Emma Cooper Richards; and her parents-in-law, Deacon Sterling Richards, Clyde "Tom" Miles and Sabrina Corbett.
