She was predeceased by: her husband Ezra Berman; and her brother Maurice Castleman. She is survived by: her sister Ann C. Halinger; her daughters, Jessica B. Booker and Rebecca B. Dunleavy; her sons-in-law, Joel G. Booker and Terence M. Dunleavy; her granddaughters, Callie D. Booker Martin and Tess B. Booker; and her stepgrandchildren, Brittany E. Dunleavy Venzon and Ryan F. Dunleavy. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Rita has requested donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (jdrf.org).
