He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lee "Skeets" King and Merle Clayton King. He is survived by: his children, Debra Holt (Eddie), Richard L. "Ricky" King Jr. (Susan) and David King (Sheliah); and his brother Donald King (Sheila). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

The family asks that while attending the service to please wear a mask and maintain a safe social distance.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mebane United Methodist Church, 200 South Fourth Street, Mebane, NC 27302.
