She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Artis Kernodle and Daisy Bell Pickett Kernodle; and her daughter Cynthia Roxanne Carmichael Forsythe. She is survived by: her children, Sherby Wood (Mike) of Efland, Theresa Kontoulas (Greg) of Haw River and Keith Carmichael (Deborah) of Efland; her grandchildren, Kristie Jones (Mike) of Burlington, Tina Wood (Chad Parnell) of Efland, Timothy Kontoulas (Audrey) of Graham, Matthew Forsythe (Hannah) of Roanoke, VA, Christopher Kontoulas (Callie) of Graham and Keirah Carmichael; her great grandchildren, Tate Jones, Bailey Jones, Parker Kontoulas, Talon Kontoulas, Lenox Kontoulas and Xander Kontoulas; and her close friend Nester Cuevas (Pancho).
