She was predeceased by: her parents, Governor Robert "Bob" Scott and Jessie Rae Osborne Scott; and her brother W. Kerr Scott. She is survived by: her children, Christy Hobbs (Wes) and Andrew Cagle; her sisters, Meg Scott Phipps (Robert), Susan Scott Sutton (Louis) and Jan Scott (Jeff); and her grandchildren, JT and Waylon Hobbs.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hawfields Presbyterian Church (2115 NC-119, Mebane, NC 27302).
