She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Brockley Hutchens and Ruby Newton Hutchens; her sons, Gary Simpson Ray and Alan Lane Ray of Mebane; her granddaughters, Ann Marie Ray, Sarah Ray and Lynn Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Kaylynn; her husband A. V. Ray; and her son Craig Ray.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
