It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Bardwell (Mebane, North Carolina), who passed away on September 23, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Marion P. of Mebane, NC.; her former husband Francis "Tip" Bardwell; and her son David. She is survived by: her parent Hazel L. Nicholson of Mebane, NC.; her grandson Nicholas D. Smith; her siblings, Marion P., Jr, John Frank, Delores N. Young, Maxine N. Cook and Sarah Blanchard of Burlington, NC.; her children, Tonia Smith of Pinehurst, NC, Joan Currin, Bill Currin of Oxford, NC., Phillip Smith, Pamela Smith of Shady Spring, WV, Lucindy Pittard and Mike Pittard of Graham, NC; her daughter-in-law Polly Smith; and her grandchildren, Shannon Lassiter (Bruce), Kristin Coulston (James), Raegan Cunningham (Stu), Julie Harris (Donnie), Will Currin (Angela), Luther Currin (Morgan), Mattie Anne Clark (Devin), Stacy Rumble (Wes), Elizabeth Smith, Clint Storey and Jessica Palmer. She is also survived by 20 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
