He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Lynn Kernodle and Ricky Prince; and his daughter-in-law Tammy Cox Dixon. He is survived by: his wife Joan Hardy Dixon; his children, Ann McPhail (Tim) and Junior Dixon (Tammy); his granddaughters, April Cates (Jesse) and Taylor Hill; his great grandchildren, Audrey Patrick, Braylynn Patrick and Caiden Jones; and his adoptive daughter Rebecca Christian.
