He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Szokody and Theresa Miko; and his siblings, János and Suzanne. He is survived by: his wife Carol Kokesh; his children, Julia and J. J. (Courtney); and his grandchildren, Avery and Miles.

Joe was a charitable man with many loves and interests, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Joe's memory to the charity of your choice.
