She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Harris and Bertie McLawhorn Harris; her husband Robert E. Whaley; her children, Jimmy E. Whaley and Rosa Lee White; her grandchildren, Michael Whaley and Karin H. Duggins; and her siblings, Bud Harris and Mildred Huggins.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara J. Whaley and Robert J. Whaley (Betty); her daughter-in-law Barbara M. Whaley; and her grandchildren, Shannon Whaley (Ali), Christie Doss (Jay) and Tim Hunt. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Service - Mebane (1308 S 3rd St, Mebane, NC 27302). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Service (1308 S 3rd St, Mebane, NC 27302).
