He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Poteat and Ethel Poole Poteat Bigelow. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharlene Robinson (Frank) of Mebane and Lakeisha Poteat of Yanceyville; his siblings, Jimmy Hart of Greensboro, Dorene Dixon (Lester) of Burlington and Patricia Bigelow of Yanceyville; his grandchildren, Mekhi Womack, Joshua Robinson and Lathan Graves; his aunts, Rosetta Poteat, Dorothy White, Colleen Thompson and Clara Poteat; his niece Jasmine Dixon; and his nephew Brandon Hart. He is also survived by relatives, family and friends.
