He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Daniel and Maude Williams Patton; his brothers, Millard Patton and Edward Patton; his half-brother Daniel Patton; and his daughter-in-law Rita Lee Patton.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Louise Chamberlain Patton; his sons, Richard Chamberlain Patton (Pamela) of Altamahaw, Kenneth Eugene Patton of Snow Camp and Steven Wayne Patton (Diana) of Gibsonville; his grandsons, Brandon Patton and Nathan Patton; and his stepgrandchildren, Kelly Branchaud, William Travis Tucker and Clark Kent Bradsher, Jr..
