She was predeceased by: her parents, Brice Poteat and Sally Alison Poteat; her siblings, Lottie, Thelma, Odean and Hal (Harold); her daughter Gayle of Mebane; her grandchildren, Freddie Davis of Burlington and Sha; and her great grandchildren, Tatiana Davis, Bryce Davis, Wesley Davis and Bishop Davis of Burlington.
She is survived by: her friend Faye Walker.
