He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Doby and Neelie Stanley Doby. He is survived by: his wife Anna Lee Hill Doby; his children, Debbie Doby Shanklin (Don) of Mebane and Greg Doby of Burlington; his grandsons, David Shanklin (Donna) and Daniel Shanklin (Grace); and his brother Gurney Doby (Mary) of Mebane. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
