It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Lucas (Mebane, North Carolina), who passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. R. J. Hobbs Sr. and Ruby M. Hobbs; and her siblings, Rev. Archie L. Hobbs, R. J. Hobbs, Jr. (Anne) and Blanche H. Allred (James).
She is survived by: her siblings, Freda Hobbs Scarlett of Greenville, NC and Clyde E. Hobbs (Barbara) of Amarillo, TX; her sister-in-law Charlotte Hobbs of Woodruff, SC; and her daughters, Loretta C. Lucas and Jennifer M. Lucas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
